There is no doubt now, we are in the heart of the age of digital. The year 2020 has marked a boom for online movement, and in specific digital marketing.  Any business or industry now relies on virtual presence, in one way or another. People have never felt more of the need to stay connected with the brands they care about and even find new ones to suit their needs during such times of a global  pandemic.

As a young and fresh graduate marketeer, starting my career at such time, it was not enough just to rely on traditional marketing methods. As I was scrolling through Facebook, I happened to come across an advertisement by EgyptFWD under ITIDA, urging youth to take on a fully funded scholarship in partnership with Udacity. The programme a Nanodegree in the field of Digital Marketing that covers a wide spectrum of topics, including a detailed explanation of various social platforms, how to craft and strategically create content and how to understand your target customers and formulate buyer personas. It also tackles a topic that is essential to approach the future of the job market, free-lancing.

Free-lancing is being your own manager, giving you the autonomy and benefits of even working from the comfort of your own home, at times you please. The degree covers the essentials you need to learn in order to be able to join the market and gain financial and creative independence.

The experience is an eye opener to the possibilities of the future ! I am looking forward to applying my newly acquired knowledge into my everyday work and hope to be a free-lance marketeer as I gain more experience.
